Jade M. Phillips writes in the Paranormal Romance and Fantasy genres and is preparing for the highly anticipated release of the Unfortunate Souls Series this October 2015. Jade, aside from being an author, can play guitar, do a frighteningly accurate portrayal of a spider monkey, and has the magical ability to vanquish entire armies of supernatural creatures with a flick of her pen. When she is not writing about mystical beings and lovable characters, she’s having nightly dance parties with her kids, blogging about whatever tickles her fancy, and testing new recipes on the stove (which coincidentally, usually ends up testing her smoke detectors as well.) Jade resides in Arizona with her husband, two children, and her crazy cat, William Wallace Braveheart Fuzzy McFarland the Third.
Reading your books is what reminds me of why I love reading and why I want to become a published author one day. I’m only 14 but have an insane and wild imagination, haha. All I want to do is write. I have an idea for a book that I’ve been trying to get started, do you have any suggestions on how to get started?
Jade, I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful tips/steps you shared in KDP. I have had a recent very discouraging and expensive experience with a publishing company who did seek me out from the copyright I had obtained for my book. I need all the help I can get after this ordeal. I realize I will have to navigate my way thru several areas but you and also a friend who just released a book via CreateSpace has truly made the steps sound simple than what I’ve been through. Thank-you so much again. My first published book is a children’s book inspired by my first grandson with many more to follow in addition to his brother now. I look forward to ordering your books. I have to admit am a true “biography” person but love a good paranormal every once in awhile and my daughter (30 yrs old) loves them so these will make great “Christmas” gifts! I hope we can keep in touch even though our book genres are different! Good luck in all of your writings!
I love the Mer series and own both books. I’m excited to start reading your other books, but I can’t help wondering…is there still going to be a third book in the Mer series?
Hi! Yes, I eventually plan on continuing, but there is no set time frame. So don’t hold your breath! Unfortunately, Mer was not performing as well as expected and needed to be put on the backburner. But if you are signed up for my mailing list, you will know of all my upcoming book releases (MER included). ๐ Thank you for your enthusiasm! It means a ton! ๐
I have become a MER fan……can’t leave us MER fans hanging. I’m invested now!
Hi! I love your books, and I was wondering if there’s going to be a third book in the Mer series???
I just read Unfortunate Souls Book 1 and I’m hooked. Couldn’t put it down. I bought it on my Barnes and Nobles Nook on a whim and was not disappointed. That is, until, I went to go buy the next one and it is no where to be found for the Nook. I took to google and Amazon hoping to find the paperback copies and was only able to find Book 2. Book 3 is only available on the Kindle which I do not own! I was devastated. Will Book 3 ever be available on paperback or the entire series available on the Nook?
Hey Stacy. Book 1, 2, and 3, will be available via paperback in just a couple weeks, if not sooner. I’m sorry about the nook unavailability. Amazon is currently my soul source of publication. Hopefully, in the near future, Unfortunate Souls will be available on all ebook retailers. For now, Amazon is the best way. You can get the Kindle app for free on any device. ๐ Let me know if you have any further questions. Lots of love. JADE XOXOX
I just finished all 3 books from Unfortunate Souls. Will there be a fourth book coming out? If is, then when will it be coming out?
Yes, there is a book four and it should be released sometime in the late spring or early summer. ๐
Jade,
I wanna start of by saying I am not fond of reading but appreciated the beauty and art found in books. When I picked up your book Mer my dislike for reading went away. I had to get my hands on the second one immediately and I loved it even more. You left me on a cliff hanger so many years ago and every so often I check to see if thereโs any news on the next one and still nothing. I beg you to please continue the series as soon as possible. You have many loyal Mer fans.
Sincerely,
A loyal Mer fan
Hello Kevin! What kind words about Mer! That really does warm my heart. ๐
I never intended to leave the series forever, I just needed to let the tide take me where it wished. And at that time, it was away from Mer.
I cannot guarantee when I will return but I plan on it. And when the story continues, it will be epic.
Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out. And in the meantime I have another series you may wish to try. It’s different than Mer obviously, but readers are really enjoying it. It’s called Unfortunate Souls and the 1st book is free on Kindle.
Take care Kevin! Keep in touch.
